Symposium on Church History This Friday

These are exciting days for those interested in LDS history and this Friday the BYU Religious Studies Center will hold the fourth annual BYU Church History Symposium, "Preserving the History of the Latter-day Saints."

The symposium includes Elder Marlin K. Jensen (Church historian and recorder) as the keynote speaker, and Assistant Church historian and recorder Richard Turley Jr., in addition to folks working on the Joseph Smith Papers Project, in the Church History Department, and at Brigham Young University.

I'll be in attendance blogging as best I can. Is anyone else planning to be there? I expect to provide a lot more information for this symposium since it is open to the public.

When: Friday, February 27, 2009, 1:00 p.m.—6:00 p.m.
Where: Conference Center, Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah.

Times are a little less exciting for those of us who don't get to go to these Symposia, and must experience them vicariously through you blog posts. All I get is a Rodney Meldrum seminar next week ;(.
